Reviews for "Flip8 Redux: an emulator"

Thanks for making this.

Its amazing. Good work.
Sorry that many here did not and probably can not understand what you made here.

Newsdee responds:

I was expecting it... after all, emulators are only as popular as the games they emulate... and most games cannot be distributed freely either. For Flip8, all the games are public domain, but they're old...

didn't convince me.

although i know you've must worked a lot it kinda bored me it's so .... lame
but you must be a good programmer . if i want to play games like that i'll use an emulator and not flash because then i could configure the controls and the animations would run smoother

Newsdee responds:

Try a CHIP8 emulator for PC and you'll see that most have even less features than mine. I thought of making the keys configurable, but I wanted to keep it simple. Arrow keys + space should be enough.

ya done good, ya done real good

I am only 14 but i can appreciate the work u put into it
the research u must have done....
fasanating stuff the new age (my age)
could really learn from this too bad almost nobody reads anymore unless its on a screen and if its a video games of any kind readings out completely..it was good while it lasted here on new grounds but sadly i don't think it will last i wish it would but im sure it won't...

Newsdee responds:

Glad you've appreciated it. Maybe if an animator is interested I could make a movie that explains the same things but with voices and fun examples. :)

emulation rules

AS a fan of old skool games from the 80s I must say I am very impressed. Maybe next time you could put in another flip 8 with more games or even a better emulator!

Newsdee responds:

Sadly, I've already incuded all the games that are currently known for the chip8, and emulation is almost perfect. There's always other systems though...

Well,I like emulators...

That was reaaly good(it was freakin' better than the CHIP8 emulator!)!

Newsdee responds:

Thanks, I was precisely trying to improve on my last submission. Glad it worked!
