Newgrounds rides again...
It's really unfortunate that all a flash game needs to get an awesome score is beautiful graphics, because that's all there was to this game. It looked spectacular!
However, the game play was dull and uninspired. I've played this kind of game hundreds of times and this one added nothing. This is mainly because the "levels" were so short that it never had time to establish any sort of feeling or atmosphere. If you look up Fear Unlimited Full Edit on NG, it is the prime example of what this game should feel like.
Your combat system, while 1 step above most games of it's kind falls really flat. Oftentimes the "combo" hurts you more as it gives enemies coming from behind more time to get to you. Then, once an enemy hits you, it's hard to recover and get more attacks in. The power-ups were dull and boring, and the rage took any hint of challenge out of the last 20 seconds of the level (which is the only time they got challenging). If I can beat a level in under a minute and a half than it's not long enough.
The Boss Battle was truly awful, since it relied 90% on luck. His attacks would often corner you in, so that you couldn't escape without getting hit 2 or 3 more times. I think what needs to be done is take away the touching the boss hurts thing. Because too often he'd jump to where I was, and next thing I know I'm dead. I did manage to beat it after a few tries, and found the ending really lacking, mainly because there's no story. A game needs story.
Again, I would recommend checking out Fear Unlimited Full Edit to see what this game could have been. That game is the pinacle of NG games, and this one felt like nothing more than a cheap dollar store knock off.

Nice job on this one. I'm not too fond of the top area where it tells you your stats and the font you used. It was a bit slow for me, and lagged like a b*tch, but otherwise was great.
Good game, quality problem
I liked the idea but I couldn't beat it since the quality didn't stay at what I wanted it to be (low) so it lagged and I would die. Make it so that the quality that I set is what the game keeps the quality at.
Great Game
The three levels were nice, but the boss was a bit too hard. Try making it easier, since most of the gamers on Newgrounds probably can't beat it.
Liking the music too. That was from Croc: Legend of the Gobbos. Wasn't it?
