I don't know why...
But I really liked this, your style is really nice and the short was pretty good, make more.

That was a cool flash.
Graphics were simple which was a good thing. The effects with the sun and the lighting were awesomly done.
Style was artistic and cool.
Sound/music fitted the story.
Violence...well he did die but thats not really violence. You don't need any violence in this flash.
Interactivity...a play button.
Humour...it was mad all serious for the whole movie then it finished off with a humourous payoff...nice work.
Overall I'm givin' it an 8.
5/5 hope it makes it through.
