Reviews for "8-Bit Theater Part 5"

Yeah, I think Misteroo called your bluff there XD

lol

Thank the spirits

Finally number five is out. Now I wonder about number 6....are they going to cover the Light Warrior Survivor arc or no? Funny as heck though

the flash was amazing but....

..geez guys, now that took long!, I mean, I tought it was coming on 2004, but no! now is almost 2006!

Great Use of Creativity

I didn't really think the fast foward was a cop-out. I mean, this was going into the "Survivor 8-Bit Style" subplot which honestly would take about 3/4 of 8-Bit Theater 6's time, let alone this episode. I also thought that that part of the series was damn boring as it never fowarded the plot for perhaps a month. Also, this was the animator's shot at creativity. Since he for some reason couldn't have those bloopers in the credits this time, he just made a good gag.

I really felt that you got tired near the end.

First off, I really have to wonder if it's worth doing these movies any more. Even if we keep the "fast foward" junk in at the end (which was little more than a cop-out, really), then... they've got a party started and they have to see the king. Compare that to the comic, where they just got their class change, about half-way through the game.

I digress, though.

The actual humor is okay, and some moments made me chuckle. The voices could've been done much better though, especially Red Mage and BM's voices.

I also got this feeling that you were really tired of making the movie and wanted to get it out ASAP, and that it was going nowhere because you were at this big roadblock with a bunch of work involved that you didn't really wanna do, so you tacked on a cop-out of BM fast-forwarding, threw up your hands in frustration because you felt that it was a really bad way of ending the movie, and uploaded it with a shrug and a "at least I'm done."

What REALLY made me go "eeehhhh...." about this one, though, was that 8Bitch5:EvilOnTheAttack basically a) preceded this movie by about 6 months (at least), b) completely ripped the author of this movie a new one over his lack of creativity (see: Thief's sneeze and the resulting broken image windows titled "Stolen_Joke"), and c) made me laugh a LOT more than this did.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not dissing you as a flash artist, I just have to wonder if it's worth it to continue a Flash series that covers about 25 episodes in one go (taking into account the fast fowarding at the end =/), when the comic updates with new content 168 times in the time it took you to make this movie.
