Reviews for "DJO - Time Shift (feat. Unrl)"

This could be better.

I know Hard Dance is all about the kick, but yours is WAY too loud. It overrides every synth you used, making it sound like there IS only a kick. I think you should soften the kick. Another thing, the silence starting at 1:22 is WAY too long, it could be much shorter.
But I congratulate you for realising such a hard kick! xD

DJOrsa responds:

I'm gonna have to disagree with you on the kick. :p
I spent quite some time making it sound like that, and I meant for it to be exactly that volume if not a tad softer. If you aren't using headphones or are just playing them from laptop or not-so-hot speakers, the song can sound drastically different; I don't know if you are in this situation, but either way, I appreciate the review! :D

Nice! :D Oh, about files...

This is a good foot-tapper. Really good. The vocal interjection is a great addition, doubtless. :D

Now, just a quick word about the filesize issue. First off, only about 1 in 1,000,000 people can actually detect ANY audible difference between a 256Kbps and 320Kbps MP3. Seriously. It's not even worth discussing, the difference is so minute.

But in future, if your file's ove the size limit, don't panic; just contact Newgrounds direct! There are many Flash submission larger than 10MB, becaue they're GOOD. I'm sure they would've let this audio file in too. Anyway, best of luck in future! :D

DJOrsa responds:

Thanks, I had no idea. :D
Yeah, the 256kbps to 320kbps is only noticeable when blasted.. and this is the type of song to be blasted, haha. xD

Thanks for the review!

Not bad at all.

I think it works for what you were going for. Its got that upbeat feel to it and that is a good thing =). I'd say this is a good collab and a win for the ears ^_~. I can hear some area's here and there that could be improved upon by adding some different instruments though this is your style not mine so i can't be too over the top on critiquing this. =) All in all i'd say this is a win.

DJOrsa responds:

Woot!
Thanks man. :D

This is some good shit

I don't have much to say, but great job! Which VST/soundpack did you use?

DJOrsa responds:

Messed around with Nexus, Vengeance, and a little in Reason.
3x Osc for some and I tried some bassline synthesizers too.

No stock samples were used. Everything was EQ'ed and made super wet, effects-wise. :D

Thanks for the review. :)

AWESOME!!

Ok, Let me start off by saying that you and Unreal are very talented. I loved the buildup from 20 to 30. If you had included an explosive beat at the end, it would have been epic. Keep up the good work. -TheHigherSource

DJOrsa responds:

Thank you much. :D
