Reviews for "Springbot"

Loved it. Seriously

You know, as Im thumbing through the various new submissions, I dont spend too much time at one thing. In a games case, I play it l;ong enough to see if its a good game or not. I dont play longer than half a minute most of the time (because most of the time the game is horrible)

THIS game is the first ive encountered since 2004 that actually had me stop, play, and win. I found myself playing this for about fifteen minutes, and for a new submission game, I'd say that was quite fair.

If that wrist cutty thing got on the front page, I am positive that this should be on the front page as well.

Very interesting, not too much of a plot, but no plot is better than "OMFG!! Worlds gonna end! Kill the Boss!"

Very nice work. Liked the graphics and the gameplay. For some reason I found the clawing attack was much more interesting than just having a gun. The gun would have probably ruined it. The clawing is very suttle and nice.

Anyway, keep up the good work. I would love to see another game like this.

Hazard-Productions responds:

thank you... reviews like that are rare, I feel honored.

It was okay

It was okay it got frustrating after awhile because you only have one life and the attack you had compared to the range attacks of the enemies were frustrating and seemed lacking. Maybe if there was a different attack the enemies had or a way to boost your life or get an extra life it would be better.

Hazard-Productions responds:

you gain a little life every time you step into a portal, and the game is so short (only 5 levels) that i really couldn't give ppl more than one life. the focus of this game really was not combat, but it seemed like something that would be neccisary to a game where you escape from some laboratory...

could be better

The game was sort of boring. Also the layout of the attacks sort of annoyed me. You should have added alittlebit of sounds instead of none at all.

Hazard-Productions responds:

once again, the focus of the game really wasn't combat, and there were in fact sound effects, you probably didn't have your speaker turned up or something

Not bad

The controls weren't that hard to get used to, but waiting for the robot to charge his jump takes too long, in my opinion.

The hardest part is killing the guards. There's no way to kill most of them without taking some damage and there doesn't appear to be a way to regain health except passing a level. If you try to get behind a gaurd and claw him you miss.

I would a different way to approach the guard issue if you want this game to be really good. Also, you should make the 'puzzle' aspect more challenging.

Hazard-Productions responds:

no, when you go behind guards you dont miss, there is a little claw mark that you can just bareley see every time you attack, and that has to be touching the guard for your attacks to have effect.

goood

it was good
