Reviews for "Star Ball"

Nice game, but no match for Jardinains

Decent game, levels get boring fast and there is virtually no challenge. Some gameplay bugs too. Bores after 5 minutes.

meh not THAT bad

but not that good either...it entertained me for a bit but it was a tad to gliutchy for my likeing, the ball went rigjht through my pattle a few times ><! try re-doing it with a few more power ups and a few less glitches

oh and the sound effects really take away from the atmosphere, make them a little less.....childish

7/10

REMAKE!

this is a remake to a breakout game on shockwave... same style bricks... same movement.... and same paddle/ship for gods sake.... like come on if your gonna make a game... at least use your own ideas....

Very decent rendition of Breakout

I just read one review criticising the fact that this is a remake of Breakout; OMFG!

1. Every game is a remake of some previous style; forgetaboutit.

2. Good breakout remakes are some of the best flash games I have played.

3. If you are going to remake some older game; which you almost have to; Breakout is about the best medium on which to build.

Now on to criticisms of my own:

A. I am pretty sure the ball went through my paddle on one or two occasions; you should check into this.

B. Most breakout games have an impatience feature, which will kill the last brick or two if you are taking too long about it. I personally am happy not to have this feature; I like to play the level out to the bitter end; and it isn’t really necessary where you have dynamic angles of refraction, but others may like the feature so you may want to give it some though. If you were to add this as an optional feature you would be the first person, to my knowledge, to do so, and that would be groovy.

C. The game could benefit from a more spectacular death, and maybe a slight theatrical pause between resumption of play; sometimes I don’t even realise I have lost a life.

D. You may have deliberately chosen to give each level a rectangular brick setup as part of the flavour of the game; your prerogative; but a more varied brick setup would enhance the reliability of the game.

Nice..

This rofl pwns, great job. Few glitches.
