It was ok.
However, I *have* seen better slacker/loser/goatee'd 20-somethings who get into mischief Flashes before. If you want to go by that genre, it's one of the better ones, but I just have to ask myself, "Why?"
The grunge rock is totally hip. No. No, I'm kidding, it was predictable and repetitive and actually dragged the movie down some. To a 6. Otherwise, it would have been a 7. Ooooo, look, a whole point. Well it was cruising in dangerous territory anyway after the awkwardly unfunny Mario first Mario joke... that was unnecessary. It proves idiots like those guys shouldn't be putting so much thought into something so thoughtless...
The graphics are actually really good, and the animation as well. The characters, despite their almost "Been there done that" attitudes, retained enough personality to carry them through the piece. The video game references were nice, and the Ipod intro was actually the funniest bit in the movie...
High quality visuals, low quality music, mediocre laugh factor. So says Dr. Manhattan...
