A Life-Affirming Video Full of Undeniable Truths
That was a really nice video. I loved the whole focus on the good Samaritan. I particularly liked the part where the main character gives the old man his cane, who in turn gives the main character his hat, who in turn gives the hat to the homeless man. That was really nice.
What's great about it is that even though it was made with a religious undertone, it is open to all religions - it never comes out and says that God loves good people - it's the focus on the personal aspect. The fact that if you spread good things to other people, you might not get any material gain out of it, only the satisfaction that you have made someone else's life a little easier, or their day a little happier. You don't need to be Christian to do that, which is what I love about this.
The fact that the man in the turban was up in Heaven with the rest of them... I found that particularly good. How the little speech bubble said that man in turban = man in helmet. We're all the same. This movie doesn't say that you're evil if you don't believe in God, or if you don't believe in the same god as everybody else. You can be a good person without being holy, which I think was a very important message in this video.
All you people who were displeased with this movie because it had a religious tone are missing the point. If you don't believe in God, that's fine. I, myself, believe whole-heartedly in God, but I don't hate people who don't. It's their choice. I mean, Mahatma Ghandi wasn't Christian, was he? He was still a good person - a very good example of what the human race has to offer. That's what this video is trying to convey. You don't have to be holy, or Christian, or any other faith in order to be a good person. Yes, I gleaned all of this from seeing the man in the turban up in Heaven at the end.
Wonderful video! Even if it was made in only one day, it contains a whole lot of important information that so many people just don't understand. This brought a tear to my eye, but then, I'm a big softie anyway. Absolutely beautiful - I loved it!
Now on to the making of the video itself - I gave it a 9 for Graphics since it had a very simple but bold style, which is why I gave it a 10 in Style. The music fit the video with perfection, so I gave it a 10 in Sound. The only violence was at the end when they're sadly looking down on the fighting people, so I gave it a 1 in Violence. Since there was only a play button, I gave it a 1 in Interactivity. The video was not funny, so I gave it a 0 in Humor. Overall, this video was wonderfully done and well thought-out, so I gave it a 10 Overall.
