Well, message applies to some people...
I don't like ff7 because of the graphics. I hate when people say "Oh, the graphics are better on this then on that" (which I hear a lot with the next gen consoles) I just care about gameplay, and story line. Also, hate to say it, character move much more in ff7 then ff1. Though both games are good, they are still quite differant. The video wasnt so good, but I know it was for the message.

FF7 may have been a great game and may mark the beginning of 3d-polugonal-free-environemental-moving or whatever, but if you think about it, it stills remain...........a game so, what I have to say to FF7 praisers is: Stop focusing on one game and try others. THERE ARE OTHER GAMES THAT ARE GREAT TOO like FF9 (that is my favorite game in the FF series) and FF10. Seriousely, what has gotten in the mind of u people? There is not only FF7 in this world y'konw...

Finally! Some anti-FF7 stuff! This kicks ass!
Everyone knows that Final Fantasy 7 spawns n00b Final Fantasy fanboys who hate every other Final Fantasy game. I can't believe there are people who play FF7 without playing 8, 9, 10 10-2 (which was horrible) and 11. Yes, even the multiplayer one. Final Fantasy 7 is the PSone version of Halo. Everyone says "This IS the ultimate game! The game you HAVE to play before you die!" and you play it and it never lives up to your expectations. But who cares... Final Fantasy 7 fanboys own the entire internet and are the worst sort of fanboy. You can't even suggest you hate the game without being called a moron and being told "you don't understand games lol". I better hope I understand games and I can tell a good game when I see one, because I've played them all my life.
And don't you DARE call yourself a "dedicated" Final Fantasy fan until you've played something OTHER than FF7. Owning all of the before listed games, and having played FF6 very briefly.
So my point:
Obsessive fanboys like everyone who hates this movie are the reason Square can't stop with the FF7 sequels. Just fuck off.
Speaking of which, I myself have seen how obsessive FF7 fanboys can get. Some guy on a forum the other day posted a topic saying "What is the best Final Fantasy game?". Of course, this always leads to praise over FF7 and how nothing can ever live up to it. I made the mistake of typing "I don't really like FF7... My personal favourite is FF8" and then I said what could've been improved on 7 and what 8 had that was better. I then got 100 posts saying "HOW DARE YOU HATE TEH ALMIGHTY FF7!!!1 YOU CAN BURN IN HELL!!!!!!!!!!!!". But no matter how much abuse and hate-mail I get, I stand by my opinion. FF8 was (I say again, in my opinion) the best Final Fantasy.
We need more anti-FF7 stuff on Newgrounds because it's getting too much fan obsession and exposure. I even heard Square are planning a FF7 remake for the PS3. Too that, I say "Square has just proved my point". I will now end this review with an internet line used by many FF7 haters:
"Defending FF7 like it's better then God is like running in the special olympics... Because even when you win, you're still retarded..."
