I agree with the guy in the hat (sorry don't know his name cause i never played FF1) old school rocks and graphics aren't everything i actually dont' care how bad the graphics are as long as people aren't represented by little squares or something. all in all it was pretty good
FF8 has good storyline?
Sorry, I just thought I'd write about what thatZeroValintine guy said about FF8 and FF6. First of all, there is NO storyline to put all the events of FF8 together, just that damned look for the witch and save whoever (sorry, forgot the name of the girl in blue, not really that memorable actually...oh wait, it was Rinoa...) Secondly, what's all that crap about having so many themes? Man there are some parts of the story that doesn't even fit or you can do without! waste of time. Halfway through the game I actually lost sight of what I was going to do! Like hell, just the graphics were good. Also, THE most replayable rpg of all time? Chronotrigger. There are so many endings, the levels are carried over, and all that stuff. Parasite Eve also had a similar feature, but it was just too boring a game to play again (the thrill disappeared) The FF series is more abstract than it is epic. It's like the storyboard guys just put in every damned idea they could think of (i.e. <snort snort> hey Biff, let's put in a dancing cactus! Biff: but why? It's a story about saving the world in a futuristic scene! Dumbass: i dunno, it looks cute!)

Just one thing. Please add, in the favor of true ff, something like "Atomic Explosion" in a nice little blue text box that pops up. Totally cool movie. I disagree with AlanMidas however, all of the ff games and infact all squaresoft games rule. In my opinion ff8 had the best storyline of anygame ever made, and ff6 has the best replayability. Graphix aside all the ff games deserve some kind of freakin place in the smithsonian.
