Reviews for "Battlegrounds"

Alright.

Pretty good. Sound got REALLY repetitive, and the AI was pretty stupid, but it was okay. Wasn't at all funny though (I doubt you were aiming for "funny" so that's good).

Tremendous potential

I think that this game, and by extension the author, have a great deal of potential. The controls, while not immediately intuitive, offer good fine control over the little guys. The "humans vs orcs" plot is a little saturated at the moment, but that's not a big issue.

My first problem with this game is the challenge level. I never bought anything from the shop. Spending carefully early on, I was able to finish the game without losing any of my men, fully upgraded, with thousands in surplus cash. There's no real challenge to the game. Perhaps we need to see the wizard enter later in the game, or hold off on letting the player buy the 'heal' spell. We need something to make a player think twice before just charging all of his guys into the orcs.

Best i've seen.

Reminds me a little of the original Command & Conquer.. less interactivity and control of your units but nonetheless probably the best game on NG, if not on par with SINJUN BATTLE ARENA and others.
I recommend everyone play this, good times.

What can I say? It's good.

I love it, for a flash strategy game its not half bad. It's a shame its only 2D which makes fights a bit basic. I'd like a variation of this where you can do a random battle generator or something. you need archers and cavalry n all that though first :). Good game, liked the music too.

Deeper than the cuts on an emo's wrist.

This might be the best Flash gameplay I have ever seen.

I love the RPG progression with your soldiers (even though it's SO SLOW), the learning curve on the very slow battles, and the upgrading system. The missions rock. It has its bugs, but the foundations are very solid and I love where it's going.

I reckon this game is quite repetitive, but in the sequel, which I'm working on, you can expect a lot more strategy. Thanks for the review.
