Reviews for "Sin City Tribute"

Sin City rocks!

Sin City the comic and the movie are both excellant. Great tribute and i liked the use of quotes from the movie.

nice work

i liked bro. nice job.

Mediochre representation, terrible music.

The main reason I wrote the review is to reply to a reviewers complaints about animation. This flash was based on the movie, but the visuals were from the Sin City graphic novels. This would be my explanation for the animation, or lack thereof.

Also The Cranberries suck, this is their worst song, and this didn't fit the theme of the movie.

All in all I believe that this was not a very good representation of the film, and really isn't a tribute. I would have liked to see some original events from within Sin City. Not still lifes from the movie.

Great character drawing though.

The Rob

Nice, but I hate the film aging

This is very well drawn - I feel the animation was a bit less than animated and more along the lines of very carefully drawn stills that were then animated. The effect still worked, but I'd prefer less accuracy and more animation.

What I could really do with is the film aging. Sin City is a new movie, in fact it is a digital movie. If you were unlucky enough to see a damaged reel of the movie, I'm sorry. A tribute should be crystal clear - like the movie. The film aging really distracted from the experience for me.

This is a promising start, I think a little more focus on animation would make the video a world better. Still - in the end - this is way above average.

Frank Miller is laughing his ass off...

I know the other critic here on Newgrounds said that the music fit really well for this and that he didn't understand the "To kill for a dame" thing. I understood the whole thing, but then again I watched Sin City 3 times at the movie theatre.

The music in my opinion: It didn't fit at all with the theme of SIN CITY.
Cranberries: Zombie, is a melodramatic sad song about World War 2. It best fitst with the anime "Grave of the Fire-Flies".

I felt the animation was great, and the character rendering was perfect. It's too bad it's so short, I really wanted to see more.
