Did you ever read the comics?
You must know by now that the movie is based on 7 graphic novels. Also, it might benefit you to know that "A Dame To Kill For" is a completely different story that was not featured in your animation. That title is Dwight's first story and has nothing to do with Goldie. The one you are thinking of was titled "The Hard Goodbye" shortly before the movie came out, before that it was just "Sin City".

Amazing art, Im not sure if others are true about it being traced but it could have been. (Though theres too much detail for it to have been traced). I haven't read the comic or seen the movie but I enjoyed that.
