Reviews for "All Hail Windows! 2"

Great mixing

===============
Score: 9 / 10
Summary: Great mixing
Review: Well, I've seen Windows-songs before, but they only utilized sounds from Windows, nothing else. I like how you both used, mixed and edited the sound of windows-sounds, as well as adding rhythms to it.

What I could wish for was more sounds. From windows, that is. Try to incorporate a few more.

Other than that, I like it. Not too long, it even loops pretty good, and... I forgot the last thing I was going to write.

Great mixing... To tell you the truth, I didn't even use the mixer over here XD. But I did edit each sound with CoolRecordEditPro (amplifying, removing static, etc.).
About different Windows sounds, I used 14... how many more would you want lol O_o. I tried to use all of the cool sounding ones, but there are a few more left like the start effect, the ringout and ringin, etc... I just didn't use them since they sound ugly :P.
Anyway, I'm glad you enjoyed the song. Probably the last thing you were going to write was 'you rock at making windows songs, keep up the awesome work'; don't worry, I understand :P. Thanks again ^^.

I've actually seen it done every now and then, but honestly never as good as this one was done. So original concept? Perhaps not to someone who's seen it done a bit, but creative approach and best execution that I've seen.

Love the creative nature in this and I can't even start to imagine what it takes to write something like this. For someone that is good with music as yourself it might not be so hard, but for someone like me I don't think I could ever make something like this.

I wouldn't say the ending was creative as anyone who has half a brain would use that as an ending. :P The thing is it still sounded great that you did it and it shouldn't have ended any other way.

Wow, thanks for the compliments. I had this idea in my mind since I was about 7, and after hearing other people do it on NG about a year ago, I started giving it a try.
Oh, and I spot a mistake in your review. I'm not really good with music :P. I've only used FL Studio for about half a year or less. Making Windows songs sound as good as this is just sheer luck ;)
Still, thanks anyway, I'm glad you enjoyed the song XD.

This is a really interesting and, to my knowledge, original concept, one that I wouldn't have thought would work very well, but it does.

However, there isn't quite enough Windows in there. Whilst some sounds are recognisable as Windows sounds, most of them just sound like normal drums or whatever..Maybe try not to change the original sounds as much by cutting them up..It just would make it feel more an XP song, not just a normal song with a few XP sounds put in for good measure.

My favourite part was the bit with the starting up screen, as that was the most XP oriented.

The shutting down tone at the end was clever too :D

Step responds:

Thanks for the review. I do usually have a bit of a problem when it comes to making songs without drums. I find it a little too boring to make. Every second of this uses XP sounds, apart from the drum buildup, but I have to admit I used the drums a lot. Maybe I'll post another version of it without drums...
Thanks again for the review :).

very imaginitive

wow ive heard windows songs but not like this

Step responds:

Wow, thanks. Really glad you liked it :D.

Once again

Very imaginative, Keep making windows songs.

Step responds:

Sure, they're so fun and easy to make :D. All Hail Windows 3 is a strong possibilty XD. Thanks a lot for the compliment and the 10 :D.
