Whew, that was a long one. My dad was a scientologist and spent $3,500 American dollar's on those stupid e-meter's, which you have to replace on a yearly basis. Eventually he had to quit due to the fact that the e-meter, book's, and "purifcation"(Which basically involved sitting in a sauna and jogging around a buildind) cost more than $8,000 dollar's in one year. At the time that was more than ten percent of his gross income.
