I am a sonic pro and i think that this flash is just... touching.
Pretty Good
Pretty good tribute, keep up the good work.
What's that? This sucks balls? Duh.
Now, don't get me wrong, I love Sonic (SA and Shadow the hedgehog were my favorite 3-Ds, with S3k being my favorite 2-D), but this sucks horribly. There's a difference between tributes, and "we'll show our fanboyism by using FAN CONCEPTS and HORRIBLE ANIMATIONS!"
You've got Sonic becoming Super Sonic without all emeralds, you've got Sonic doing fricken DBZ (HE NEVER DID A GODDAMN KAMEHAMEHA WAVE AND YOU KNOW IT), and any appearance of Shadow shows him kicking Sonic's ass, with one depiction showing him doing this HORRIBLY DONE uppercut that can't even COUNT as an uppercut, along with EXTREMELY novice MANGA violence. There's only like, one depiction of Shadow that doesn't kick Sonic's ass. Then you've got things like C-Bit master's horrendous usage of tweening, the ridiculously stuipid fan concept of Sonic doing a DBZ move (and you even call yourself a SONIC fan?), Sonic looking all mystic as he transforms into Super Sonic (which he shouldn't), and Knuckles looking up, seeing Eggman, and then EXTREMELY HORRENDOUSLY drawn Super Sonic firing a fireball at Eggman (which Sonic wouldn't do). If not for the few I mention below, this would hit fricken zero.
Next, you've got actual graphics. They suck horribly (DoomFox rules, person who did the helicopter scene rules, and person who did Tails and Knuckles is alright), to put it simply. C-bit master gave them mega large eyes that stank, whoever did the scene with Super Sonic (the one on the menu) needs to learn how to draw.
Littlemario's one (I believe he did the SECOND one with Shadow kicking Sonic's ass) was well drawn I guess. Doomfox's looked REALLY high quality, which can be rare when such a movie as this trash comes to the scene. I'd rate the graphics higher if things such as the scene where Sonic dies (which in itself is stuipid) didn't exist (Amy had no nose, Rouge wasn't even looking, everybody was one shade and horribly drawn).
Music, good song, but the flash sucked, so the sound CHOICE was terrible. Shoulda used a piece of shit, that woulda suited this MUCH better.
Violence? From horribly drawn Super Sonic shooting a fireball at Eggman, to almost Sprite-like Super Sonic doing a Kamehameha-THING, it's easy to see why I'd give this such a low rating. Plus, you had the scenes with Shadow kicking Sonic's ass, and Sonic and Emerl (who is NOT evil, unlike YOUR depiction) running down the highway, which stank.
Interactivity was good, shoulda had a scene select, but otherwise good.
Humor? Seeing a Halo spartan made me lawl for a sec.
Overall, this isn't even a tribute. You've got Sonic killing Eggman, transforming into Super Sonic without the emeralds, doing kamehamehas, getting his ass kicked by Shadow, and dieing.
Which are ALL FAN CONCEPTS.
Although, points for originality to the one who did Knuckles' and Tails' adventure, it was at least not nearly as fan concept.
This survived by the majority of NG fans being MAJOR DBZ and PS2 fans. If this wasn't full of your stuipid-ass fanon, I might have given it more than a three. You guys can do WAY WAY WAY better than this. The overall score ITSELF would hit at least 5 if you didn't use all that tweening, up to 7 if it didn't have terribly drawn Super Sonic and C-Bit master's tweening. It'd hit up to 9 if this actually gave a tribute to him, such as actually having Sonic DO things he does instead of just fighting robots. He runs, jumps, grinds, swings on poles, fights Eggman, etc. The only thing you had was some running, fighting Eggman, and dieing. This SERIOUSLY doesn't deserve it's award.
Oh, and, BTW, This is coming from someone who has played and beaten all but maybe two Sonic games, and ultra HATES the Archie series for being so off and misleading to new Sonic fans.
