I am actually a huge sniping enthusiast, and I think this is pretty damn great. A few things I could say about the inaccuracy, (Such as unless that robot is a German robot, it wouldn't have a scoped rifle like that. Other snipers during that era used their rifles to sharpshoot up from the trenches with a periscope.) but since this picture is saying there's a damn robot during The Great War, I don't think you're too concerned about that. The next part I noticed was it's weird ass head, which a couple other folks asked about. If this robot can kneel and make stances like a normal human with that gun that's designed to fit a human, then this robot can put it's eye up to the scope. Of course, it's a considerably tall, thin eye. So when I first looked at it I thought "okay, this thing can turn it's head a full 90 degrees so that its tall, thin eye becomes more of an elongated eye to look in the scope" which maybe it could use as like, another scope. It's a robot anyway, so even if it didn't have to do that to have a zoom feature, it's a freakin' robot and could totally have some kind of zoom feature. (Which of course you then could argue makes the scope on its rifle pointless, and why doesn't it just have a Megaman buster type deal on its arm with auto-lock on at 700 yards? But then maybe they built him that way for some other specific reason that would require him not to have a gun on his arm.) So, as you can see by my lackadaisical and nebulous second-guessing, even with all of the complaints a person can think of to question the stylings of this piece, which I don't think a person should have in the first place, simple logic can sort all that business out. And the fact that you left a bunch of it up to interpretation is pretty great.

Thanks for taking the time to write such a long review. I don't really mind people questioning parts of the design or talking about the inaccuracies all that much. Most of the inaccuracies are small and insignificant or are design choices(and as you said, it's a robot in ww1, historically accurate it'll never be), but a lot of the time they point out stuff I missed, didn't know or could do better. And it's fun to see people think because of my work(like you did in your review). Thanks for the review and the kind words!

This picture has some very good detail! I really love how it's easy to tell its from World war 1 era, because of the extra layer of splotches on the surface, (not to mention that it's black & white) I love the scratches and wear on the robot, to show that he actually HAS fought.
I can't quite put what I like best about this picture though, but it might just be the overall design of the robot.

i thought about that as well, the explanation(excuse) would be that the scope is a camera it can access. although that isnt really clear.
