This is a huuuge improvement from your last couple of songs that I reviewed. I absolutely love this tune! I can envision exactly what the title says. I don't know if I necessarily see the main character walking through the gates, I see more of like the character coming from the underside of a hill, and as he walks over the peak, an enormous castle-scape appears on the horizon.
Anyways, This song has great technical merit, wonderful mastery, and touching harmonies. I can definitely see this being used in a medieval themed game. Great work once again my friend, I'll be reviewing your other two new songs as well later in the day, and all of your new songs to come, as I promised. You won't make a new song without a review from me!

I practically go by ear on every single song I make and create the structure as I go (which is bad), therefore I don't really have a clue of the outcome of what I'm creating until I either have nothing else to add or give up, lol.
I must admit that I'm pretty proud of this one... doesn't happen that often.
