pretty good
the only problem was that a couple of facts are wrong:
a) Omaha beach was the bloodiest battle of WW2
b)you left out Italy
I is a History buff, and I love this!
For the simple fact its Advance Wars! This is some superb work. As Nightstar said, make another one. Such as Bulge, Kursk/Berlin, Midway, Invasion of Scicly (small island off of Italy), Market Garden, other D-Day beaches (being British, I hate the constant D-DAY=OMAHA/UTAH) etc
Only real fault I have with this is perhaps the sounds of the weapons, and some models looked out. Like the German wearing black in the desert and the Russian tank commanders wearing blue.

You're right I should have changed the color of the German uniforms in the desert. The russian tank commanders came blue in the original sprites.
I am considering making another one which would involve other countries and battles. If I do, I will fix the mistakes which I made in this one.

I agree with Stefan
It would of been alot beeter if the clips were longer
good, but a couple of things...
1. there werent that many ships assaulting omaha, mostly landing craft
2. lee enfield werent semi-auto, they were bolt action (yea i know its a small detail ^_^)
other than those minor things, good job
