Nice GFX, bad SFX. Too jumpy

The graphics and the cutscenes are neat and all.. but it gets pretty confusing at certain point.
The main problem is the voice acting and the sound effects.
The problem with the voiceacting being that there isn't any emotion in the voices whatsoever..
You can't tell when they're screaming by anything but what they are actually saying.
You need to put less time into the graphics and the long cutscenes, and more time into learning how to emote the voices better.

The sound effects weren't.. how should I put this..
the main problem with the sound effects.. is that you were using your voice instead of tools.
Now if you can use your voice and do it right, or modify it, it's all fine and dandy..
but if you can't, you should look into some better microphones and sound editing technology.
If it really takes stealing some sound effects and modifying the piss out of them, thats what you should do.

Another problem is that the characters just seemed a little empty..
like maybe you didn't give them background..
think the characters through more, give them more background..

Enough shitting on the faults.
I did really like the graphics, at times they were a little showy, but still excellent.

If you can do THIS now.. with some more practice.. what else could you do?
Keep at it! And good job anyway! :)

Whoa this is some awesome art, animations, and effects, i like the story, and how well your menu looked. The animations are well done, and you have awesome special effects in here, i also like how you have created your characters, and all the effort you have put into them, and this. The effort in here really shows, and i enjoyed it very much indeed...

I'll tell you the good way to watch this movie. And i'll tell you the bad way to watch this movie.
Good Way:
Turn off your volume and don't read the subtitles
Bad Way:
Watch it like it is

The graphics were simply amazing...terrible story and terrible voices...The charecters would be amazing for a funnier flash movie...

Shit?

That was a visual excitement. You really get the special effects wotk in the movie, no complains there at all. Cool color combinations and also i like the manga style on the characters, but it would have been perfect if the characters were more "serious", if you know what i mean. also nice movments, and the fysics of the powerbolt and tidewave are also very realistic. I like the Residen Evil inspirated ending.

Sound was also good, but a little unflowy, it sometimes sounds a little hack, you could use some fading at many points in the movie, especially in the ending. It just kinda stops suddenly. And more talking so you can understand what its all about.

One bad thing was that i never understood what the whole movie was about really, and maby it wasn't about anything, i think it was most cool fights for the most, and that can be fu for like... 3 minutes, then you've basicly seen it all.

But overall look i think it was a good movie and i hope to see more from you, in shorter versions. And less fighting in the second episode please, more story and style.

Long, Nice - but something is missing

First, I must admit, that this is the only episode of EgoCity, I have seen.
Here's my thoughts:

-- Bad --
Too many cutscenes and too many characters (very confusing).
Some voiceacting (worst at the 'screaming' part, where it more sounded like.
Incorrect soundeffects ("weren't that supposed to be a WOOSH and not a SMACK?").
Some graphics and animations did not quite fit into the movie...

++ Good ++
The length of the movie.
I kinda liked the story.
The music were perfect, and some of the soundeffects (beside the battlesounds) were also lifting climax.
The environment. Sometimes you could live yourself into the city.

[[ Overall ]]
Even though, you've put great effort and time into making this movie, the movie itself still leaks something. For example; It does need some connection. I got confused will all the different scenes switching faster than humping rabbits. Cut down in the ammout of scenechanges, and give the characters a little more personality, than just being there, saying stuff or, eventually, just blowing things up.
Beside all of this, it was easy to acknowledge, that the movie had a spirit. As said previously, the music played a big role. Once, it maked me shiver, because of the great timing - eg. when the maincharacter turned evil.

[[ Final Thoughts ]]
You got the spirit all right. Just live yourself more into your work, and offer it the time it takes. Don't jump over where the fence is lowest (don't cut corners) - but you know that ;)
