i love arcade style games like this and this beats em all hands down. i can clock it on easy i get pretty far on medium and i only attemted hard once or twice and i got my ass kicked

totally flawless man, everything about this was like the original and in quite a few ways better
o and to all of you who say this game is to easy? clear it on hard mode then come crying back k?
Im an old pro, easily blasted through easy mode without dying 1 time, medium easy but died a few times, but man hard mode, such a huuuge step up from the other two, 1/2 the onscreen enemies dont die in 1 hit even with full weapons, and in hard mode your better off with the blue since it packs a bigger punch because if you dont kill things fast in hard mode you get swamped, the stage two boss fight for example took me about 10 minutes to clear with full purple and HM, as opposed to about 10 seconds on easy mode
give hard mode a try you wussies then tell everyone how easy this is :P

Reviewer_hates_u was right about the super charged purple laser with the multiple missles does make it easy but OOOOOO so much fun lol. I loved that weapon...it's tight lol. The game is fun regardless. I ended up playin for like an hour and a half without even knowing it lol...good job on this. 2 thumbz up d('.'d)
With a little more components to it maybe like a shop system or somethin and this would have been on my favorites...trust me lol.

Hit or Miss
When you get a super-charged Purple Laser with multiple missiles the game becomes easy, with any other weapon you're doomed to die within the next ten seconds. Kudos for thinking up the bomb button, it saved my ass multiple times, and it's cool that the bomb changes based on what weapon you have.
I like how you programmed the boss, but their minions are bitches. Howcome the hero gets a one hit kill but everyone else needs to be shot twenty times or so before exploding? Give me some freakin' HP! And I hate those guys who fly right up into your face, fire off a few rounds, and then crash right into you, they up the difficulty WAY too much.
Anyway, keep on making stuff like this.

You can set the difficulty to easy if you find it hard. And the purple plasma-whip has nothing to offer other than special effects. The homing missiles can probably put it to shame (that's my opinion) so you can use the blue laser to take out the bosses 10 times faster than with the purple.
