Reviews for "Zelda Flash Demo"

...

mhm, well done. but i have no clue how to do anything other then falling down that stupid hole. oh, and i dont like demos, but this one is smooth.

i am so looking forward for a new classic-zelda thingie, and you seem like the person who could pull that off quiet well. keep it on :)

mr-frog responds:

Thanks!
there isn't any point in this demo, it's just to test the "link-moves" (read the signs).

Some things for the real game...

1. i noticed a duku link, make him able to spit seeds for his attack?
2. Noticed a goron link, make him super strong?
3. Make moving and fighting easier, you had to hold down the attack button to make a full stroke with the sword.
4. Sound and music of course
5. Add some innovative things never seen in a zelda game, it will make it more successful

mr-frog responds:

1. ill make the deku-link spit out bubbles like in 'Majoras Mask'
2. I'll make him strong.
3. sword-swings. Ok!
4. i'll say it again: Send me soundFX!
5. Ok
6. Thank you!

nice engine!

Good work. Want to see this become a full game! One suggestion :
allow the player to move in a diagonal direction.

mr-frog responds:

seems like i'll have to since you're not the only one writing this.

Showing some promise

Well, it is much better than the first Zelda game, in that you can actually do more than talk to people, I like the sword, and the menu option. One of the most fun things to me in the Zelda games (Link to the Past for eg) Was when you had to go complete quests to find power items...The gloves for lifting heavier items, the boots, swords, etc. Make it possible to permanently upgrade your character, and possibly even save your progress, and everyone will love you for it. While it might have been clever what you did before, most people don't want to go to the trouble of just walking around, and clicking on stuff, and for that reason, if that is their first impression of your game, they will blam it.

I have to say, even though it is just a demo, it surpasses the other in interactivity. I'm actually looking forward to seeing how far you take it. Make a big game out of it, and you'll have 10s across the board and Crunk ratings every day...I'm probably not the only one who feels this way either.

ummm

You do plan on making the game bigger, right? Also, how do you open up the cest in the corner?

mr-frog responds:

read the signs with 'Space'
