You self absorbed bastard!

What the hell is wrong with you!? Ben Spurgin's Demo Reel... You actually put your name infront of the title? Who the hell do you think you are!? You don't see: Tom Fulp's Dress-Up Bulma, or Will Stamper's Street Life, and they're both a hell of a lot better then you. Personally, as a fellow Flash artist, I think your animation is REALLY overrated. It's sloppy, and you over-use gradients. You are better than most Flash artists on NG, of course. 90% of them don't know how to make a working loader. Anyway, just tone it down a little, your not that great.

PS. I'll be nice and not bring up: Ben Spurgin Leading Flash to new Dimensions. Oh wait. I just did.

It's called a "Demo Reel" meaning it's what I use to show potential employers. I'm not trying to be a "self-absorbed bastard", I'm trying to sell myself.

stop the stick slayer

all though i love graphic violence, i think it is time to give up or reinvent the stick slayer for 2
porpuses one your graphics and animation is lowsey
and the cinamatic music is getting to old. But i must be fare so i give you a 6

granted its just a compilation of little clips from all your movies in a big advertisement for yourself.. oh well, at least it was done in taste, sort of.

Excellent

Looks pretty good to me. Good choice of music, good choice of clips. It shows your artistic and technological accomplishments thus far, and you have the words popping up to string the whole thing together. I like.

Of course, I say this assuming that you're aiming this at an entertainment sort of audience, or at least one that can appreciate the artistic merit of this, rather than folks who just say, "Eww, blood. He's scary." Cuz if I made a demo reel like this for _my_ bosses, I'd be stuck in the mailroom for life.
