i dont get it... just a loser nothing new i could have seen that at school.
Hit and miss and miss
I can see why this clicked with a large amount of people, but I'm not one of them. Don't get me wrong, it was a good effort, but it fell short in a few critical places, IMO.
The thing that bugged me the most was the use of 99 Red Baloons by Goldfinger. A great song in it's own right, but you went with it too far into the movie. The song doesn't really fit once you get past the part where he gets on the bus. Perhaps fading to something else more suitable would have been appropriate at that point. It kinda throws that essential transition of mood in the middle of the story out of whack... at least you were spot on with the last song.
As for the rest of it, we only saw what was happening to the character and never really connected until the very end. It all felt sort of detached. More insight and play on the central character's emotions and behavior would have really added greatly to this movie moreso than the quick series of short snippits of generic high school bullying.
Your intentions and message were good, but it felt terribly generic. We all know this goes on, hell, some of us have even been through it, but there's more to it than just the action. Show us the reaction and other actions derived from what occurs. Show us more about the individuals affected. Then will you be considerably closer to portraying your feelings towards this situation better.
