Multilayered insanity
Um... well, Zekey-and-John, I'm not going to go back to the original "A Winner is You" to churn out a quality comparitive review here, but... I will say with some degree of confidence... that this one is even more insane than the last. I'm glad it got saved though. Unlike the other sequel you submitted more recently, alas... I tried my best with that one, but the masses demanded it be removed, so... oh well.
Anyway, my problem with this one is similar to my problem with most of your "too wacky to be taken TOO seriously" flashes. It's just too damned short! I actually really dug the multilayered visuals + audio. It was kinda mindblowing in its goodness. And as I sit here reviewing it and clicking play each time it ends in less than 30 seconds... to play it again... and again... and again... I become more and more mesmerised by its insane charms.
1) the video in the background works fairly well, though the addition of weird bulgy/X-ed out eyes and tongues and so forth is just a step TOO FAR, MY GOD, MAN!
2) the cartoon additions of the old dude chattering on and on and teh Colin Mackeriewhatsitorsoforth... are okay. But this is where the flash is really lacking (aside from length). Needs more foreground, animated, cartoony elements, dagnabit!
3) the sound! Simple music backdrop plus um... THREE separate voices going on at the same time? Well, usually just the female voice talking about the water park... and ONE of the two male voices, they kinda seem to trade off and not talk at the same time. Anyway, this was easily the best part. What a delightful mix!
As a result, you've aced teh sound score. Work on the length and visuals of such madness flashes in the future, and I guarantee you'll score better than the 1.64 it's currently sitting at with 318 votes. ;_;
