Reviews for "Jewel:- Foolish Games"

I'll drink to that.

it's always the same isn't it? nice work in getting the thoughts onto paper (well, atleast metaphorically).

Lacking

The good: This is one of my favorite songs of all time, and a beautiful one to try and illustrate. Your art is nice-looking and has potential.

The bad: I understand what you were going for, but something was lost in the execution of your idea. his film could've used a lot more animation and some more emotional depth. I didn't feel the narrator's pain, nor the profundity of her love for this man.

I also thought some of the symbolic moments were a little too obvious and formulaic (i.e. the chess board whenever the "foolish games" refrain was heard). Symbolism is supposed to be suggestive and subtle, and much of yours was like being hit over the head with it.

And, lastly, there was a lot of image repetition which added to the general tone of the film which was, quite frankly, rather boring.

So good try, you have potential, but you need to go beyond the superficial layers of an idea and explore their depths.

good song

some scenes were a bit repetitive. The "it's not you it's me" "let's be friends'" were cute.

OK, but needs improvement...

Music is a little off dude.

Too literal

The graphics are really nice. The cuts and fades are well timed, my only problem is that the interprtation of the lyrics are a bit too literal for a music video. I really liked the "foolish games" with the cressboard.

Let your image drive your story, you're too limited if you set yourself to the lyrics and music. I love sync-sound, but when everything is stuck into a song that everyone already knows, it can get a bit boring.
Good foundation, go for refinement.
