Reminds me of a book by Manuel Puig. I have one question though, was “bad guy” a patient, or a guard? I noticed he wore a different shirt then the others, but he himself seemed a less than sane. I especially enjoyed the varying art styles demonstrated. Everything moves very quickly though, the pace seemed a little jumpy. I don’t think this detracts from the work though. Great film overall. Congrats with the Sundance nomination by the way, which if anybody doubts is easily verifiable using Google.

That had to be the funniest thing I have seen in a while!
And I'm not telling you that in a good way.
First off, it was wierd, not understandable, and the fairy who came out of the soup was non-other then Michael Jackson himself!
Horrible stuff. And I doubt those so called "awards" and/or "nominees" are credable. Two thumbs WAY down.
