Finally something a newbie can understand!
This was magnificent. I couldn't understand any other guide.
This was the only guide that didn't confuse me.
Your amazing!
Nice guide
Nice guide, however you should probaly have mentioned how you can trace the sprites if the background isnt transparent, and thus enable you to click on the sprite you want without selecting the background aswell.
Incase you dont know how to do this, follow these steps:
1. Import the sprite sheet to the scene.
2. select the sheet and go to Modify>Bitmap>Trace Bitmap
3. Adjust settings to your liking (pixel setting gives the roughest trace).
4. press ok and done, the background on the sheet is now deletable without deleting the sprites within it.
wha?
i need help on the tweening part specifically because it wasnt clear enough. can you pm maybe a .fla file with an example or give me a video because the text just couldt work for me. i would really appreciate it. but if you do mind, id like to atleast get a clarification in text or maybe at the VERY least give me feedback. but overalll, your tutorial is awesome!
help
ok i used ctrl+b and it highlited it,but i can't pull off the sprites i want.could u help me?
The best way to get sprites off a sheet is to make sure it's on a totally transparent background (Fireworks, Photoshop, Illustrater and other programs have the magic wand tool to do the trick). Once you have a good sheet, Ctrl-b should be able to break the sprites apart, assuming the sheet isn't corrupted and is selected.
