Reviews for "Siege Outbreak"

boo shank

i thought it was really good, it was short but that is becuase making it that smooth and detailed takes time, would like more shooting peoples faces in episode too.

Not bad for a part one

I liked it a lot. It was kinda short, and the fight scenes were mostly just punches, except for that one crazy kick at the end. However, I understand that this is just a "part one" of a series of flashes, so I understand you may have held back a little here. Next time, don't hold back. When we see fight sequences, we want to go Woah NEATO! Invent really crazy fight scenes, especially ones that involve two guys fighting together against bad guys, now that there's two of them. Great camera angles, I love the way you keep it so close to the middle of the action, keep it up.
Oh yeah, and when you do something slo-mo, make sure it is some really crazy move, and/or you put more detail in just for that shot, like that slo-mo punch in the face could have used more motion than just the head rotating.

not enough action...

the flash it self had good style but it was very basic at some points, like punching faces over and over again. some parts were very well done though. also to short needs to have more scenes to it, still i liked it...

i think...

...that the front page caption got everyone's hope up too high. granted, it wasnt a bad flash, but there are other more efficiently animated flashes out there. that being said, i still think its a job well done, with instances of smooth rendering but you need to pay more attention on the human physique. keep it up

Advice? You got it.

Being an artist myself, I'm going to cut you some slack here. You're only 16 and you did your best not to tween this thing to death, in fact using some pretty impressive camera angles, fight animation etc., but it was a bit... stiff. The movement needs to be worked on for the next installment, the story needs to be fleshed out a bit more as well so one can comprehend just what's happening...

You also did this with a mouse, so you get another half a point for that since it simply isn't easy, but then I've seen much better shorts on NG using mouse only. I don't mean to sound condescending, I'm honestly trying to give you some pointers for the next time, but I think you need to work a bit more on making your basic art/character style more unique. Not bad, but too short and cliched. Go for the gold next time. See you then...

So says Dr. Manhattan...
