A story comes to mind...
A young boy sat on a hill, watching the many ships coming to the bay. He could not guess why they were here, what was there here but snow and cold? He resolved he would not sit and wonder but instead he would find out for himself. As he rand down to the harbor he could see large wooden boxes being carried out of the ships, and the people watching looked sunken in despair. He asked an old woman why, and she said, with a sadness in her eyes "They bring the dead so their spirits may be free." The boy was curious, so he walked up to the caskets and gazed in each one, he recognized many of them, and realized this was the crew of the exploration ship, seeking out new lands. He ran hurriedly through the crowd and looked into each one at a time, and finally, much to his dismay, he saw the face of his father. The boy was saddened but also in a way happy for his father, his father had not been happy since the boys mother died, and was glad to a degree that his father had finally found peace in heaven.
