if your serious about makeing flash about link i think the concept is cool i'd like to see something more structured meaning a actuall story line, longer and a little better visionally. and if you add the kind of stuff you had in the fight scene and the music like you had it would be awsome. maybe make epsoides i have very little knowledge about flash but what i do know it takes awhilw and that kinda tend to be short. anyway maybe base the eposides on the video games for zelda i like the work you did on the star wars flash it was great so yea try to put your own version into it.

yeah, maybe if i did this as a full time job id spend months on it, but i dont have that kinda time . as it is i spend about 40 or so hours on this onee piece . do you have any idea how long it takes to make one cartoon ? how many people work on the animation, editing and production ? im only one person with full time jobs and a life, so in that sense, i dont have time . however, you make a valid point . this was a bit of an experiment and my first attempt at a movie like this, i said that in the description so, keep that in mind

This was ace

The music fitted well, and I am a final fantasy fan so don't listen to the so called purists. This was excellent, although it did lack something and I don't know what. The story was, well lets be honest it was a fight scene! But still it was cool. If you wanted people to get the modern bit then y not put this is the preloader?

I went ahead and read the story before watching the film. It goes great with OoT and WW and the whole Zelda timeline. Yes, Link started out thinking that he was a Kokiri, but he did find out he was actually Hylian. Which is why before Navi came along he didn't have a fairy. That's the ONLY time line mistake I've seen. As for modern day stuff.... I agree. Trenchcoat is typical bad guy/bad ass outfit. The fact that Link was wearing a suit simply shows that he was a successful.... whatever it was he did. Only other thing I want to say. AWESOME choice for fight music! They only wish they were Sephiroth though. lol
LoZ is my absolute favorite game series. FF comes in a close second. Also... this is not the same Link from OoT or WW (since they would long be dead due to extreme old age) but is a decendent. Hair color does change from generation to generation. I read the review posted before this one.

Eh...

That was a decent Flash, don't get me wrong. It's just that it looked a bit awkward, and it was just a fight scene, which is a bit hard to watch. The fight was intense, of course. Not to force it or anything, but you MAY want to try, for example, sprite animation for this sort of work (and I seriously stress "may," it's not necessary but it wouldn't be quite so awkward to watch.) Also, I saw Link's hair and noticed something. I know there was a wierd lighting, but the hair wasn't blond, (Blonde? Something like that.) which is Link's hair color. The story-line was decent (bottom right triangle of the Tri-force, you know what I mean) but I couldn't piece it together. And, lastly, I know this is taking place in a modern time and all, and maybe I'm just being nit-picky, but unless Link's working for Hyrule's CIA (which the story-line didn't mention), he'd probably be in street clothes. Same with Ganon. But, like I said, I'm probably just being nit-picky. Decent Flash, but needs improvement.

have you ever played the original loz ? links hair was brown . not to say, considering the fact that he had blonde hair since then, that black is closer to brown so its correct . all that implies is, it doesnt matter what color hair link has . it so happens i did use sprites . they were just big sprites, and they were my own creation, so, ya kno, i wasnt using someone elses artwork, which i think is better and shows more tenacity than using pre-drawn sprites . if you want a whole flash movie with decent sound and graphics, youre not gonna see it on newgrounds cause the file-size maximum upload is 5mb, which basically allows for 5 minutes of acceptable sounding animation . i suppose i could have taken the music out and it been silent except for the few thunder and sword sounds . as for the modern thing, link has a job . hes not 15 . hes a grown man, who wears a suit to work, so when he quests for the triforce, he doesnt wear a holister co sweatshirt and gap jeans . this isnt neccessarily OUR modern day, just like hyrule wasnt OUR historical world . and ganon was wearing a trench coat, which is the typical bad-guy/bad-ass outfit (ie matrix, blade, etc) .

i think you reviewed the wrong submission buddy, haha . its all good, but dont expect me to make a link vs gannon dressup...thats just sick
