Great start.
You wanted input? Well here it is. This is a great start to a game. You've got the core down pretty well. I like the fact that the ships fire so fast and all...kinda sets this apart from other similar games. In others you're trying to destroy everything, in this game you're trying to survive. As for additions, I believe you should add new weaponry, different abilities (your laser thing is real neat, but perhaps being able to replace that with a missile launcher or something between levels would be convenient). Also, though I'm sure it's on your to-do list already, a help section would be real nice...I discovered that secondary laser thing totally by accident :P
Overall, I like it.

OK, my only problem was that it was too long for my screen, so I had to click outside of the window to scroll up and down the
screen(problematic)
BUT, when you get that fixed this game will move into legends, Its hard which is great, and its fast and beautiful, and if you keep that style of music changing throughout the game, it will be awesome, my only suggestion would be 2-player co-op. I understand its barely feasable, but if you did it, this game would be PERFECT, and it already is a 10
