Better direction for this stuff than Milkman
Compared to Milkman, the cartoonier actors and addition of narration in this movie helped take the edge off. It's a better direction to take your random ultraviolent pieces, because this way we know it's supposed to be a joke (even if we don't find the punchline particularly funny).
