I thought this was great, but you had a lot of 'standing around' time, where I was moved to thinking "has it crashed? is this it? is it waitinf or input?"
I liked the way you gave them a 'flat' effect along with the drawn 3d, in that they changed facing direction by flipping around like paper mario. Also, the eyes of the girl apon waking on the tree were great.
