Reviews for "World War 1 Propaganda"

Not Very Good

As the last reviewer said, the mention of the Germans plan for mexico was good - thats the only thing that's good, The posters shown ARE World War 2 period and the only signs of propoganda are there are posters and the americans call Germans bad. i don't know what your actual assignment was so I've probably made a tit of myself but if i were your history teacher I wouldn't give you a D.

MightyA responds:

Well, I mention the posters in the reply to the last comment, so you can read that for what I have to say. Also, I'm only in high school, everyone else is creating posters or something, so I think this is more than enough effort for that

it's alright.

I was rather pleased to see your reference to the plan the Germans did devise for the Mexicans to conquer the southwestern United States. Most people don't know about it or bring it up. The only main historical inaccuracy was I'm pretty sure those propaganda posters are WWII era, but I might be wrong. Not bad for a history project, hope you get a good grade on it. 6/10 due to lack of anything that made me laugh out loud, but then again, that might not be fair because your history teacher could be a humorless blob.

MightyA responds:

Nope, those posters were from WW1. Many people seem to be a little misinformed about what happened during WW1. The United States went into a major pro-war phase, where the entire economy was geared towards war time. Those types of posters were one of the methods used in promoting resource conservation and in getting people to volunteer for the armed services

I gave it 5/10

But it looks like you have no idea what WW1 was about.
That "evil germans" - "good americans" thing has its root in WW2- The first world war was completely different, there were no imperialistic germans that wanted to take over the world. It was a war between severel united states, neraly everyone versus everyone.
Maybe you should inform a little more next time.

MightyA responds:

err...not quite, WW1 had a wave of anti-German hysteria. German was actually banned from being taught in schools. And Germany did in fact want to expand its borders.

könnt ihr garnichts ihr lufis?

hey sag mal was soll der scheiss ihr blöden ami schwuchteln soll der teufel euch holen crap movie!

MightyA responds:

Hmm...I have no idea what you just said, but from the looks of it, you didn't like it. It's not like I don't like Germans, I'm just trying to recreate a propaganda piece that may have been used during World War 1. No hard feelings

Mildly interesting

Animation was nice & smooth, I liked the premice. I thought the art was lacking considerably & the audio was a bit hot. Nice use of period art though & the whole B&W film style was pretty good, it lended some ambiance to the piece. Overall not bad, but could stand some improvements.

MightyA responds:

Yeah, with a week's worth of effort, it was the best I could do, and the fact that I'm still fairly new to flash, and working a mouse.
