A Solid Entry, but Room For Improvement
Hmm...
The three installments of the Smash! Quiz show series have all been released within a couple days of each other, and each have gotten decent, though not Daily Feature, scores... Basically it's been proven that the concept is solid, but the execution needs a little more finesse to achieve true flash greatness.
Though I eagerly await Smash! 4 (if it's in the making), a couple of suggestions:
1. Switch it up a bit... there's way too much repetition between episodes... maybe some new characters, or even a SMASH! Tournament of Champions edition could prompt that push to daily feature level... Heck, maybe even have fight scenes after each round between the two lowest scoring characters to determine who stays in the game (which, if you're one of them, leads to an arcade sequence... as it is, the shooting parts are kind of buggy and disjointed)
2. The graphics and sound needed to be cleaned up a bit... I know, that's form over content, but considering the number of people who vote based on graphics alone during the blam/protect stage, it's something to keep in consideration.
3. Levels of Difficulty... and maybe some extras if you win on "Stupidly Hard" Mode... Like what the heck is going on with the "wooden spoon" joke.
A very enjoyable game, none the less.
