Reviews for "[MvS}(2)Frozen Alone"

I'd say A Distant Dream wins.

But theyre both good, and I almost couldnt see any differnce, they sounded like composed by the same person, with little changes :P
Mandy starts to sound like Jeremy Soule :)

MaestroRage responds:

There are similarities in styles between her and Jeremy I agree, though I fear she's not a big fan of Soule XD. Oh well, with good reason.

Thank you for your vote, i'm glad you liked the duel, thanks again for the review!

Awesome!

I thought you guys had a huge fan base. I was expecting way more reviews/listens/dl's etc.

A Distant Dream

Anyways i loved the whole thing just a couple of things. Transition at :32 when the choir comes in. The choir just comes out of nowhere. Don't get me wrong i love the whole section and i dont blame you cuz i wouldn't have known how to transition that either. W/e its just my opinion cuz i dont know if you meant to do that. Everything else was amazing. Effects, Melodies, Instruments were all amazing.

Loved the Transition between the two parts.

Alone in Ice

I think you should have lead into the strings at 2:30 in a better way. I really don't know how but it seemed empty. Loved the melodies and everything else.

Overall everything was amazing. 5/5 10/10

Keep it up guys!

MaestroRage responds:

doesn't really bother me. I mean i've been around for a while so i'm sure people just got tired of my sound. There are many new and great orchestral composers coming in so it's time for them to enjoy the spot light.

Thanks for the review, we're glad you liked it!

DUDE...... THIS IS AWESOME

Maestro this is easily one of my faves from u. favorited, and downloaded,5/5 10/10

MaestroRage responds:

thank you puppet-master! Though you are aware that the first half is Mandi's and the second half is mine, we are both glad you enjoyed it!

Thanks again for the review!

phew difficult

You both kept very tight to the theme. I'm a sucker for both instruments. The harmonies were great with both. It reminded me very much of FF VIII for some reason :S which is a good thing. I thought the second half ended awkwardly. I felt that the first half did a great job using the voices and piano to their advantage with the oboe. The oboe melody was extremely smooth and I wished it wouldve been longer. Both were great, I give the first half a 5/5 the second a 4.5/5 therefore it rounds up to a ten for stars. BTW, I wanted to talk to you guys about an idea of mine for a new contest. Its posted on my profile and the forums. Great job again you guys :)

MaestroRage responds:

hey! Yeah my half does end a bit abruptly, my hour was up XD! The problem with my duel halves are i'm usually trying to really build up into something, and 45 minutes will pass and i'm out of time so I have to start tying ends together. Mandi takes her time to mold a minute of audio, but that minute is well rounded.

I should learn from her.

Let us know how that contest goes, and when you launch it! Thanks for the review, we're glad you liked it!

I liked it.

I like the first half most. The sounds are much more ice-like to me and the main melody really (maybe by accident) worked perfect with the ambient sound. The choir could have been less hard towards the end though. The second one starts good and seems part of the first piece. But I think the lead instrument was too organic if that makes sense, I get the idea of some lonely yetti or something like that as opposed to a spirit.

Both good though.

MaestroRage responds:

good analysis, we thank you for taking the time to vote and review! I chose the bassoon for the very reason you stated, it felt more organic, personal preference really.

Thank you for the review, we're glad you liked it!
