Heh. I agree. When making it, I kept thinking "Adventures of Garland really is a crappy movie, and I would never submit it if not for the fact that I made it as a part of this tutorial" - but I also keep thinking "still it is a whole lot better than many of the films that actually ARE submitted". And have you ever seen the line "This is my first movie, so don't blam it"? If a movie is so bad that you have to ASK people not to blam it, it has nothing to do on NG in my opinion.
I haven't been too long on Newgrounds, but I really hope you're wrong when you're saying that this is about how _most_ people here think.
Yeah, the graphics are terrible. It's what happens when a bad artist tries to draw even badder on purpose. :-)

that was pretty funny. i put a 0 for grahpics cus...i wasnt sure what to put lol. that really did get me thinking about how many crappy ppl there r in ng :\.......yeah. u should make another one and include more stuff lol. good job.
Heh, I expected lots of graphic zeros, since I... well, partly because I'm not a very good artist at all, and partly because in this movie I tried doing my best to draw everything as bad as possible. :-) I broke a whole lot of my own rules in this tutorial, but I think it would have been kind of ruined if I broke the "a drawing should never take more than a minute to make" rule.

The song is in the Newgrounds audio portal. If I remember correctly, you will find it ("Microwaveable Meal") on the first page of the "Pop" section. Naturally, you can also just click on EdibleCastle's name in the top left corner of this movie's presentation page in the portal.

I just flipped through the pages and didnt read them until i got sick of that song which wasnt very long.. sorry reading a bunch of crap is boring why not make less friggin txt and put some action in there. IM NOT AN ORANGE TACO
I agree... it has way too much text. Still, though, I don't really know what to do about it. The humor is in the text, and let's face it - I'm no big artist and the interactivity consists of pressing "next" buttons, so it's the humor I have to build everything upon.
If I remove some text, someone will probably complain that I removed a fun part. I could try using less text on each page, and fill in with animations, but that would make the entire file awfully long. I could try replacing some of the text with other ways of saying the same, the question is how - I would probably voice-over this if I only had a microphone, which I don't yet. Also, some of the fun (in my opinion) is that it's supposed to look like a tutorial... But I know that means I lose people not too wild about reading long text, so...
I can only say that I agree with you, it has way too much text - but I'm not sure how to fix that problem.
