Not fun and not impressive
Entertainment value: little. Games are fun for three reasons: 1. interactivity, 2. graphics, and 3. sound. This game fails on all three accounts. The interactivity is spoiled by poor control of the ship and poor collision detection. The graphics are bland and uninteresting. It took me a minute to figure out which part was the front of the ship and which was the back. There is no sound. This game is an exercise in frustration.
Technical merit: little The graphics are bland, as is the style. There is no sound, which is bad for a variety of reasons in a game. The choice of control buttons was good, although I prefer to be able to customize the control scheme. Regardless of the control scheme, actually controlling the ship is very difficult. The collision detection was atrocious. Enemy ships could pass through buildings but I couldn't. I couldn't tell whether I was taking or giving damage. There were no cool ships, explosions, or backgrounds. There weren't even decent ones.
Conclusion: This game probably took you a couple of hours to make, tops. It isn't fun because no effort was put into making it fun. It doesn't take a lot to make a great game or movie, all it takes is work. This shouldn't have been submitted. You need to work on it a lot.

I wanted to like this game. I really did. It looked nice at least. The backgrounds and stuff weren't drawn too poorly.

There was no sound first of all. Next, the conrols are really hard to get. I had a really hard time just getting out of the corner that you start at. Once I started playing, I had a very hard time figuring out the reloading system. I hit the right button to reload, but I just wouldn't shoot again. This game has lots of bugs, but I'm sure it would be a decent game if you worked some of them out.
