Reviews for "Invasion 3"

Archers are gods!

All I did was buy fletcheries and archers and I got to level 36 with
1060 archers left and 89400 gold still. All I did on every level was deploy 20 archers and let them take the castle down. On the odd occasion where my archers got wiped out I still had several hundred left and just deployed 20 more. Any other unit is a complete waste of money and will never survive the arrow storms.

Okay, but not very fun

My main gripe with this game was that it was not very fun or rewarding. You just went from level to level clicking buttons and watching a rather dull battle unfold. The difficulty was weird; it went rather quickly from easy to moderate to very hard, and the fact that cavalry and saboteurs were completely useless did not help. The graphics looked alright, the menus were quite nice, but the sound was annoying, repetitive and tinny. Overall, it felt like a pre-Command & Conquer strategy game from ten years ago.

How could it be improved? Options to adjust the way your army fight mid-battle, a more gentle learning curve (and perhaps selectable difficulty) , better balanced troops, and more enemy variety.

I would love to see an Invasion IV with all the above adopted.

Good Game.

You can see the improvements that have been made over other versions, but I agree the strategy is too easy (buy archers, you don't even need cannons). This game is pretty good, but things that could improve this game would be as follows: 1. balancing the use of all the units(infantry, archers, ect.), you could do that by making the castle change up its attack over time, so it forces the player to change up his/her own tactics. 2. It would be helpful to know if upgrading the units is doing something, honestly I can't tell if its doing anything.

Otherwise this is a pretty solid game, I did enjoy tinkering with all of the units (although it gave me minimal success) Also I did enjoy the improved graphics of the game. It should would be cool to see another version of this game.

Good Game

Got easy after a while once you got the hang of it. I dumped all my money into archers and cannons.

Good

Well i'm not going to be like all the other ones: "EEH ARCHERS FTW ONLY LOL NOOB GAME" or something like that.
Well yeah, archers are overpowered :/ You have to make them worse in the new version, if it comes, if you make a new etc... however you should make some kind of tactic requirement in this.
Maybe infantry take 2 attacks and cavalry take 10 or something, TRIPPLED arrows come! Then, the infantry and the cavalry will be attacked first, if they pass the archers' possition, so you need them for taking some damage. Saboteurs will have low percentage chance being attacked and will boom in the first attack, and Rams will take about 6 attacks but will be attacked slightly more because they're big and fat.

So i guess, THIS is what to add: Oh and remember it's just MY tips, i'm not always right and i'm not the best tipser lol :P:
*Infantry/Cavalry taking damage when passing archers (= Some infantry/Cavalry to take some dmg)
*Trippled Arrows the castle shoots (Well, if you use infantry and cavalry, taking 2 arrows -infantry- and 8 arrows -cavalry- , you need some dmg making from the castle, or it will still be very easy, and we don't want that ^^)
*Instead of fletchery etc, do Sword Upgrade, Arrow Upgrade, and so on... (Just seems cooler and you can leave building upgrades to next dot)
*Ability to build up things like ALCHEMIST: Then IN the alchemist research.. lets say... 2 things for saboteurs or more if you want to. Then it could be: Improved Explosion (+25% explosion damage) and Suicide Run (Increase Saboteur movement speed by 15%). Just some tips. Fletchery (!), like skills like... Double Shot (10% chance every shot to shoot 2 arrows at once), and, you see what i mean? Let's say upgrades cost 50 gold first, then 100, then 150, then 200, etc.. so you upgrade different things.
Knight Armor... blabla.. lots of upgrades, think of some! (Just a nice idea, would be cool to expand the game some)

... Well i guess that's some important, and less important, things to add. Here comes the BONUSES to add:
*HERO! Cool :D Maybe designing him yourself. A mace, a twohandmace, etc. Maybe give weapon damage information and attack cooldown, lets say... Iron Mace: 18 damage, 0.4 seconds cooldown (Now maybe you could spend points on strength etc, 1 strength = maybe 3-4% extra dmg, i don't know how much HP castle has! But if it has about 1000 at start, this dmg is OK. Hero shall not be overpowered.)
*New units! Maybe Axeman (Yay! Axe works! :D) or something :P
*Why not enemy spawns? Ofcourse my other ideas would have to be slightly changed, if you add this. Or, why? Saboteurs, lets say you can give them command to raid castle or to also boom the enemy soldiers. Ofcourse, you shouldn't use the tripple arrows thing from castle, if this.)

Well, that's my ideas and thoughts about the game! Here come HERO attributes:
Strength (Increases your base damage by 4% each point spent.)
Stamina (Increases your hit points by 5)
Speed (Decreases your base attack speed by 2%)
Intelligence (Adds 5 mana to your mana pool)
Now lets say hero have MANA! And spells. You can click spells, maybe in top or bottom of screen or something, to use, as the hero engage in combat. Maybe you could be able to steer the hero.
Well here's also ideas for hero skills!

Bash (Give 10% chance bashing an enemy, stunning it for 1.5 seconds.)
Rage (Add 25% attack speed for 5 seconds. Cost 20 mana. Have 15 seconds cooldown.)
Fireball (Deals 70 damage in a small splash. cost 20 mana. Have 5 seconds cooldown.)
Avoid (Gives the hero 20% chance avoiding an attack.)

Well that's just some hints to lead you on your way! Continue doing flash games! And take some ideas from my review here if you want to. But please reply this review if you do :P
