I'm from Britain, and we get that kinds of thing in our newspapers and on the TV all the time, so wasn't really anything different. Pretty good though.

To the Author - Good work. I wasn't exactly sure what your viewpoint on the fighting was so that makes it even better.
To everyone else -
The author may already know this but many of you seemed to miss it. I think it was interesting that in many of the pictures of the injured children and civilians, we see U.S. military doctors trying to help them. We are not some evil occupying force bent on taking whatever we want. We are fighting terrorists, not freedom fighters. The enemy there wants nothing but to drag Iraq back into a islamic terrorist training center. They are booby-traping everything, including their own dead and dying. Do you think a U.S. soldier chucked a grenade at some kid? My friend Matt took shrap in his back to save some kids life 3 months ago, a 9 or 10 year old boy that he had never seen before. This war has been a dividing issue here at home, but over there we are trying to help people. All of us would prefer to be home with our families but we have all made that sacrifice for you. Jester is right, these people hate us because of our skin color and would kill our children without a second thought (do you remember 9/11?). So despite your personal views on why we are there, please remember we ARE there. Try to find the truth in what you hear. Listen to Dan Rather AND Rush Limbaugh. If you really want to know what it's like put on the uniform and raise your right hand. I am leaving again in January right after Christmas. I go proudly and with no fear. I will continue to protect your right to say whatever you want, but maybe you can remember that your opinion may not mean much to those of us who have been there or closely know someone who has. A CO WARRIORS!
