Long dead WAS the generation of NES...
and I say "was dead."
This is one great game, it shows what the creater was inspired by: Double dragon, simpsons arcade, teenage mutant ninja turtle arcade, etc, etc. But, taking the notion of "It seems that all people want to do today is the same bland, repetative crap..."
Rebuttal and here me out: People, usually unexperienced in such, do what they are comfortable with, thus leading to what the creator did with Thugjacker...I look at it and take it for what it is and respect it. You have a simple game, no combos and only one item of health but such is the way of generations past. I personally would rather play this game ten-fold and/or get drunk during the weekends than spend time at a relatives house ...but that is just me...
Writing about experiences from the past, I guess some might be too young when games where very simple (A and B buttons), when people had an attention span of more that just 13 seconds.
For a flash game, it is great. For a side-scroller, it is great.
As for taking this game for what it is, which it is a "Half", that is respectable. For a half this is a great.
The graphics are expected. It is expected from what to expect from a flash game and so is the same with the sound.
Grant it it is not Halo or Half-Life or FFVII but it is Thugjacker.
Closing thoughts: THIS SHIT IS TIGHT
