Its alright.
It was pretty okay, seemed to me like it was a little dry. I mean, if your looking for some type of muted background music (itd be really spiffy for website or flash menu music :D), this is perfect, but as something to listen to by itself, its to bland to me. Its very staccato as well. I've always known this song to be more in the lines of legato. But I sapose some people got for that less slirred music.

I'll make some suggestions here...
1) Everyone's right, this is too bland. Make sure you have something to fill in the gaps and keep the rhythm going. Remember, a song isn't just the melody... it's also the chords, the background, and eventually, harmony.
2) Have something to differentiate between some of the changes in the original.
3) Get rid of the drum... no need for it and it really detracts from the song by being so harsh on the ears.
4) Make sure you don't post the wrong title either... this is a rendition of the English version, titled "Simple and Clean", not the Japanese version. There's a fine difference, and if you're able to access both, you'll notice that the Japanese version, "Hikari", has quite a few differentiations in the melody.
Overall, good try, but could be WAY better.
