Reviews for "The Brick Game"

ehhh dude, arcanoid is everywhere

really man, i liked the concept of the sound moving right to left with the ball, but rits a bit hard on the ears to listen to it. plus man, i made an arcanoid game in the third grade for a class on programming. i got a c, they said it wasnt original. that is what i say to you, you need to have original concepts man. maybe an option of turning the sound right/leeft variation off? please? maybe? i dunna, ill give it a 2 for the vote. thats bein nice, i give pretty much everything i see a zero.

Whatever.

...

This is not original in any way shape or form, I mean what exactly is supposed to be good about it??? Who the hell hasn't played this style game?

jonno-13 responds:

The original breakout was good and so is this. Do you have problem with that?

ummmm...

what's the difference between this and all those other games where you do the EXACT SAME THING?

jonno-13 responds:

I made this one.

how horribly unoriginal

^^

Originality takes time and effort.

Needs a unique touch...

The kinematics in this were kinda sketchy - you may want to think what path the ball ought to take when hitting different areas of the block/paddle from different angles. Other than that (and the problem of the ball's y-velocity missing the paddle altogether), it's a pretty accurate rendition of the original.
In the future, though, when you remake an old game or expand on it, you may want to consider adding your own original elements. Otherwise, it's not really anything new. For instance, you could have the ball accelerate towards the paddle when the mouse button is down or something. Well, good luck in your future endeavors!

Excellent review and suggestions, thanks!
