This song deserves to be at the top of the ambient chart list, and in the top 10 songs of the newgrounds audio portal. The crap that people put under "ambient" and attempt to call music just sickens me; This is a portrait of what ambient music should be modeled on. Seriously, go listen to the song at the top of the ambient charts; It SUCKS! They attempt to make this so called "Ambient" music to create or enhance a mood or atmosphere, but they fail. They don't enhance the mood, or the atmosphere. It's just noise that holds no relevance. But this song is BRILLIANT! Brilliant on so many different levels.
For me though, it doesn't feel like something I would listen to in the rain. This is something that, for me, would be a compliment to thunder and lightning, rolling and flashing in the distance; While watching the rain and lightning in the distance, I would casually walk down the street, not paying any heed to people or where my feet would land, too occupied to care by the beauty of the night sky lighting up. The lights in the sky would only serve to compliment the city streets at night, as the yellow street lamps and car lights traveled past me. That's what I see when I close my eyes. I imagine that the reason you created this song; this masterpiece, was to enhance your emotions and feelings, and in doing so, you've altered the state of mind of everyone around you who has listened to it.
I really do hope this goes right to the top of the Ambient charts though, this song is perfection incarnated.
