I don't mean to disrespect mumma mimic. but when I first saw this, I thought "why does this one have a butt for a head", until I realized that's supposed to be the skin of a tongue.
Neat! I like all the subtle and obvious elements of the design that highlight that this character is both a caretaker and threatening monster.
