Holy Crap!

Oh man, oh man, oh man. OH MAN! That was... Exciting. Truly, it felt professional... I started to get to the point where that X button was my only friend... But I played through it, and boy was I scared... But it was exciting. At first, I thought, man... This is gonna be one of those stupid, piece-o-crap wannabe Horror flashes. Well, I was wrong. This was friggen' great! The ending sure was strange... But the alternate ending boggled some mind up. It's insane, so... Er... Everyone, friggen' play this!

first bug

i´ve been playing since u upload it, and now i´m stuck. i´ve wandered around the house, letting the attic to be last the last place... i´ve got the key, seen every room, i´ve seen gwen, then the attic, then the safe... after that i´ve wandered all over again, but the cellar door won´t open. then i´ve read your walkthrough, noticing that i´ve done everything right, but not following the order on the walkthrough. i think thats because i´m stuck and cant go to the cellar. if i found any more bugs, i will report later. thanks. i really liked your game. =]

LefflerWebDesign responds:

Ummm... I've played it in every possible sequence during testing and came up with no problems... trust me on this... it took me a whole week to test it!

What needs to be done to trigger the cellar door is the following...

*** Spoiler Warning ***

- click the symbol on the floor in the attic
- open the safe
- read the book in the safe
- retrieve the key from the sink
- click on the symbol on the desk in the library
- click Xavier's diary on the righthand shelf in the library
- click on the head in the microwave for a closer view
- click the book on the table in the lounge room
- click on Gwen in the 2nd bedroom

Once all of these are done, you will be allowed to advance to the cellar...

Let me know if you have any troubles after all the above has been completed...

Ben.

Good

This is a very good, if not very creepy, game. The game itself was rather easy, but the darkness of the scenes had me guessing where to click half of the time. Also, congrats on the intro.... very scary indeed!

bloody freakaay!!

i've played a similar game to this before, but both times i've been too bored to continue playing.
i think that it is a good style of interactive game/movie, but there were a few areas that could be improved on.
first of all, the graphics. dont get me wrong, all of the pictures were well drawn, as was the house. But by going for the 'dark feel' in the game, you've taken it too far. i could hardly make out what i was looking at half the time, so i was always squinting.
Another thing, the pace. also, having a slow game like this can be very exciting, IF something unexpected happens... but it just took far too long for events to occur. it took me 5 minutes to get that damn key, and by then i was bored to tears, and stoped playing.
so overall, good concept.. but try to make the graphics a bit better, and make the game a little bit more interesting.
overall score: 6/10

LefflerWebDesign responds:

Yeah - personally, I have to agree about the pace being slow. But it was created that way to build tension. Try the walkthrough at http://au.geocities.com/shibby_1977/lwd/exmortis-walkthrough.htm and play a little longer. I'm sure you'll come across a few unexpected surprises :)

CREEPY

This game was creepy the one and only game on this site, that accualy made me jump. good work. suspense creates the fear.
