Very, very good. Quite "War of the Worlds". I can see why you got such good marks for it. It is nice to see people using actual artistic skills instead of flat cartoony people dancing around on a two-dimensional backdrop.
If I were to give this top score, I would like to see the plot described more clearly towards the end, after the scientist injects himself. Everything before that was immediately apparent but the light and the alien and the plant and carry-on, too confusing.
The use of simon and garfunkel was an appropriate choice, but as for matrix, there are many, many, similar sounding pieces of music that haven't been done to death. Try looking for music that is distributed solely for movie background and theatrical use, it would give just as good an atmosphere and most people would probably have never heard it before. Other than that, the music always fit with the feel of the scene, good choices.
Last issue, although this is my personal peeve and no bearing on your artistic skills, the spelling errors bothered me.
You have much talent and a sharp imagination. With practise you will be heart-stoppingly great.
