Reviews for "Soul Calibur 2 Game Pack"

It was funny....

Because you could play against yourself if noone wanted to play with you. That's how I was just playing, and it's fun, you should try it. other than that, good game, but needs lots of improvment.

Nice controls once you learned them but Az was slower yet better damage than nightmare so maybe you need to even that up but a pretty good game..

Meh.

I can't figure out if I love or hate this game. It runs quickly and the graphics are nice. But it's just not the same without A.I.

Back to the drawing board.

It's a good idea, but I'm thinking the execution comes up short because you're not too experienced with Actionscript yet. A one-on-one fighting game is complex to build, even without a computer-controlled opponent.

The animation is far too limited. Characters need to move even while they're just standing idly, let alone when they jump, walk, fight, and get hurt! The fighting system needs tons of work. Lifebars would be a far better idea than a point system, and instead of a 'hitting' animation playing while you hold down a key, the character should just punch when you hit the key and play through the animation once.

There's just so much to make an effective Flash fighting game. Maybe try and look up some other fighting games on NG to get ideas.

I know, infact, thats almost all the actionscript i know really, its hard, Jesus im only 13 dammit! If you think sucks can you help me make it better?

It was almost okay.

Its a good effort, and I do like the idea of having a simple flash game based off Soul Calibur. And though I do love the game (The actual one), this kinda was very mediocre. One thing I do like are sprites, did you draw them yourself? If so they arn't that bad. And also, the controls were a little bit weird, though I guess it kinda makes sense since its ment to be a two player game, and on the same screen and keyboard. And also, it was rather weird how when I attacked, my own number went up, even though that basically means my opponents health, still it was rather strange. And in the end also, it pretty much came to who pressed and held the key first. Nice effort, but poor presentation.

On the positive side:
-I do like the sprites you used.
-I also like the idea of a Flash made Soul Calibur game.
-It shows some effort.

On the Negative side:
-The controls were rather odd.
-Didn't have enough real action in it.
-It pretty much is a hold your button down before the other.
